Throughout the ages, women have turned to experienced and caring women called doulas for guidance and support as they navigate the transition into motherhood.

Birth Roots Doula Collective Inc. aims to return to these roots of childbearing, which have always recognized that support and education are essential around the birth of a child.

Birth Roots Doula Collective offers a full spectrum of services, from pregnancy through birth and after your baby has arrived. Please take time to explore the variety of classes and services that Birth Roots offers, including Birth Doulas, Prenatal Birthing classes, Massage Therapy, Yoga, HypnoBirthing, Birth Pool Rentals, Postpartum Doulas, Baby Signing and more. Birth Roots Doula Collective is for everyone. Mom to be will enjoy prenatal yoga and massage. You will definitely want to attend a childbirth education class and HypnoBirthing with your birthing partners (significant other, sister, friend, mother). If you're planning a home birth you may want to explore your options for a waterbirth. Dad, older siblings, Grandma and Grandpa will love to spend time learning how to communicate with baby through signing.

Birth Roots Is... Experience And Quality.

We are a group of dynamic women. We are mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, partners, and friends. We draw upon a variety of life experiences, skills, university degrees and training, supporting women and families in birth and the postpartum period.

We use these experiences in our work as birth doulas, educators, postpartum doulas, and breastfeeding support.

We have collectively attended over 750 births.

We have supported families at all of Winnipeg's maternity hospitals, and at many homebirths. We have also worked at many of the hospitals in rural areas such as Steinbach, Selkirk and Carman, We have worked with all Winnipeg midwives and obstetricians, and most general practitioners.

Birth Roots doulas maintain an outstanding standard of professionalism that is respected throughout the birth community by families, nurses, midwives and doctors.

Birth Roots Doulas are committed to continuing education. Here are just a few of the courses and conferences that our doulas and educators have attended.

In addition, Birth Roots doulas are certified by Doulas of North America (DONA), the premier 6427-member international certifying body for doulas. They also undergo an extensive training and mentorship program that we create for each individual doula.
