Throughout the ages, women
have turned to experienced and caring women called doulas for guidance
and support as they navigate the transition into motherhood.

Birth Roots Doula Collective aims to return to these roots of
childbearing, which have always recognized that support and education are
essential around the birth of a child.
Birth Roots Doula Collective offers a full
spectrum of services for the childbearing community in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Please take some time to explore the variety of services we provide,
including birth doulas, postpartum doulas, and childbirth education classes.
Birth Roots is... Experience
Our doulas have collectively attended 750 births.
We have supported families at all of Winnipeg's
maternity hospitals, as well as at hospitals in Steinbach, Selkirk and
Carman, and at many homebirths.
We have worked with all Winnipeg
midwives and obstetricians, and most general practitioners.
Our doulas have completed the following educational

our work as
doulas and childbirth educators.
Birth Roots is...Quality
Birth Roots doulas maintain an outstanding standard
of professional care that is respected throughout the birth community
by families, nurses, midwives and doctors.
In addition, Birth Roots doulas are certified by
Doulas of North America (DONA),
the premier
4,700-member international certifying body for doulas. Our
doulas are the only DONA-certified doulas in Manitoba.
Birth Roots is...Reliability
We guarantee that you will have a doula at your
birth.
Our doulas practice collaboratively.
This means that you have a primary doula caring for you, however you
also have a team of other doulas available to attend you in the
unlikely event that your primary doula cannot be at your birth.
No matter what, you'll have a doula at your birth.
